So I've been coming here a few years and just realized I've never written a review of this fabulous little place. Two of my preferred cuisines are Vietnamese and Thai, and even though this place is called Darleens Pizza, surprise! They have Vietnamese and Thai items on the menu, and the ones I have sampled are for the most part delicious.
What provoked this review was the wonderful drunken noodles I had yesterday. It was a special, so not on the menu all the time, but so good.Fresh ho foon noodles with a good bite, fresh veggies and spicy chicken chunks.
The vietnsmes banh mi sandwiches are on the menu all the time and the spicy chicken version I get with cucumbers cilantro carrots and pickled daikon radish is a wonder of various textures and tastes.
Also the Thai iced tea is fabulous. -

three words: NIKKI's BAHN MI!
easily the best Bahn Mi in the greater Portsmouth area, hands down. Nikki and her mom + all employees do an absolutely incredible job integrating Viet food into a classic NE sub shop.
Even all the construction on Islington does not stop me from going out of my way to get to Nikkis. This place is a staple of Portsmouth and deserves 6 out of 5 stars due to the consistent great flavors they serve up daily!
10/10 would recommend you swing on through and try for yourself. -

Visiting Portsmouth for the weekend and had a delicious lunch experience at Nikki's. I was recommended the beef bahn mi as the "favorite" on the menu and it was a solid choice! I liked that I got to choose how spicy I wanted it. I will gladly come back here to try some new dishes too!

Nikki's Banh Mi has been a great addition to Darleen's sub shop! Both menus are available when you walk in to the small restaurant. All of the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the BBQ Banh Mi or the bowl of goodness! Both are incredibly delicious Since there is limited seating inside, call ahead to place an order in case you're taking it to go!

Nikki's Bahn Mi is a great place to get lunch. They offer vietnamese, thai, as well as subs, salads, and pizza, so there is something for everyone. In my times visitint, I've tried the Lemongrass Pork Bahn Mi, which was filling and fresh, and recently I had juicy fried pork dumplings and a creative and delicious Bahn mi taco. Nikki, the owner, is friendly and she was happy to talk to me about Portsmouth and Asian cuisine. It seems that they are really finding their own, and quickly becoming a hidden gem on Islington Street. Parking was easy, ordering was easy. Food came quickly. They have an array of bottled drinks and also boba (milk tea), which I haven't gotten to try yet. I brought a friend here for lunch and neither of us were disappointed. Thank you!
